Today I read an email at work from a co-worker who is moving away to NC following her Marine husband, unsure of her future job opportunities.  I replied congratulations and told her that I would pray that God fills her days with grace.  She replied back ‘Ahh!  SO sweet, I really appreciate it Lisa… thank you!!!  ‘  I can’t tell you how many times I have hesitated to tell someone that I promise to pray for them because this is WORK after all.  Today, praise God, I didn’t hesitate.  I don’t know if this girl is a Christian or not, [...]]]>

I can’t tell you how many times I have hesitated to tell someone that I promise to pray for them because this is WORK after all.  Today, praise God, I didn’t hesitate.  I don’t know if this girl is a Christian or not, but I can tell you that when times are tough, non-Christians still like to get prayer. 

Often times I get stuck in what Jim Deyling calls a Christian Getto.  I hang around with and spend most of my time talking about spiritual matters with my Christian friends.  No stretch there.  Today, praise God, I didn’t worry if this person was a Christian before I spoke.

Sunday, Day Zero… I was down on my knees, praying at the alter and God put it on my heart to participate in this “Great Adventure’. I can’t believe how I almost walked out the door of the church without stopping by the table. Jesus tugged my heart and I turned left, saw Kevin and remembered.
I know now that God was jealous of all the distractions in my life and he, in his devine wisdom, orchestrated events that led me back to complete devotion to him. The path was very painful, however, knowing that God has a plan for me, a glorious plan, comforts me. I praise you Lord for loving me.
