No hesitation

Today I read an email at work from a co-worker who is moving away to NC following her Marine husband, unsure of her future job opportunities.  I replied congratulations and told her that I would pray that God fills her days with grace.  She replied back ‘Ahh!  SO sweet, I really appreciate it Lisa… thank you!!!  ‘ 

I can’t tell you how many times I have hesitated to tell someone that I promise to pray for them because this is WORK after all.  Today, praise God, I didn’t hesitate.  I don’t know if this girl is a Christian or not, but I can tell you that when times are tough, non-Christians still like to get prayer. 

Often times I get stuck in what Jim Deyling calls a Christian Getto.  I hang around with and spend most of my time talking about spiritual matters with my Christian friends.  No stretch there.  Today, praise God, I didn’t worry if this person was a Christian before I spoke.
