I had a chance to sell a used washer and dryer from storage today. AND in the process of the sale I was waiting on God to allow me to turn the conversation to Him. It didn’t take long as the lady told me what a confusing life she has been living, I shared part of what the Lord has done in changing my life and she was very receptive to it. Paula (her name) was not quite willing to commit but was touched by His power.

When I open my mouth to speak about Jesus and the gospel, the words go off of the other person like water off of a duck’s back, or they go over like a led ballon. I want to be used by God to seek and save the lost. But when I experience worthless failures with a lot of stress, I have to say there is no use for me to continue to do this. Honest Al

Yesterday I was at a friend’s house mentoring his son. When I was finishing up his roommate, Peter who is twenty-six, walked in and heard us talking about Jesus. He said, “Are you guys talking God stuff?” I responded, “We are talking about growing into the image of Christ.” He mentioned that he got saved three years ago and how it was a struggle to walk without sin and that he had fallen away since moving to San Diego. Bryan and I have been reading the book together, we can relate to the stories a lot, specially the part where he talked about not quitting  his job but instead started looking for ways to be used right where he was. I’m really excited to be a part of this class and my prayer is that God will use me as his tool to change lives for Jesus! Being able to communicate with other Christians who have the desire and passion to witness will be a big boost for much needed confidence and courage that I always seem to lack. Yesterday, in the lobby at Foothills while I was packing up “Adventure” books, a man I didn\’t know came up to me and asked me which verse in Romans he was supposed to show his friend that he had been sharing with during a really tough time in her life. He felt she was ready to trust her life to Jesus. Well, you’ve probably read the introduction and today should be chapter one. We would love to hear your thoughts, fears, and experiences. I am really excited about this book and the challeneges God has in store for us all! I have been in a spiritual “desert” lately and I know God will revive me back to living that abundant life
